Mental Health

15th September, 2021

Firstly, I would like to apologise for not posting to the website, or even the Instagram page as often as I would like. The reason is that I have been struggling with my mental health and it has made things more difficult for me to focus, contemplate and provide pieces for you to get something from. As a result I would like to take a few moments to write about mental health and provide some food for thought.

Teach a Man to Fish – Part 3

23rd May, 2021

Today is Pentecost, todays give a man a fish lesson we may be focusing on the giving of the fish. Why? Well it is because you need to know what you are dealing with, looking for and living with. In this series I have been looking at teaching you how to fish as the saying goes to only give you a fish means I feed you for a day, but teaching you how to fish you can feed yourselves for a lifetime. But within this there is an important lesson, one we see manifest in the New Testament, especially when you compare it to the Old Testament.

Square One

28th February, 2021

It is exciting as a new believer coming into Christianity, you are awash with new feelings and everything is exciting. You are full of energy and everything is new to you, you love praying and talking to God as an infant does when they learn to talk. You delve into the scripture, busy to know more about the God you have just given your life to. Life is pretty exciting in these days.

I would say this marries with anything new that we start, whether it is like a new hobby or project or career, at the beginning it is all interesting and fun and we gain so much from it. But what happens down the line is, we can become bored or things just seem monotonous, that we feel like we aren't getting anywhere. This is where we slip and can slide backwards in our journeys.

Forgiveness

26th November, 2020

What is Forgiveness, why is it so important that we forgive one another in this world? Do we even have to forgive?

Some tough questions for anyone that has been hurt or going through pain at this time. The reason forgiveness is so tough is simply because it demands action from us, it is not something you can sit back on and let happen, or something you let others do for you, it is something you must do yourself. Forgiveness comes in different levels based on the level someone has hurt you and when someone has really hurt you, it demands a bigger response from you.

God Moves and Miracles Happen

2nd September, 2020

Wow is this true! Many people consider miracles to be a thing of the past, of the days of the bible and that is it. I counter this by saying miracles happen even today and not only can we see and experience them in our lives, but we must also share what has happened with our communities (whether that be on social media, the places we live or the churches we belong to).

Feeding the Poor during Covid-19

21st June, 2020

Hello, I just wanted to take the time to provide you with details of what we have done with the money that was donated on our feed the poor appeal. During 2020 we have seen many people included ourselves impacted by the global pandemic of Covid-19. This pandemic has brought lockdown restrictions and changes to way of life in majority of countries around the world. For some this isn't an issue as they have been able to work from home and maintained their ability to earn their usual income, in other areas people haven't been as lucky and have had a period where they have stopped working.

Teach a Man to Fish - Part 2

24th May, 2020

If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, if you teach a man to fish then he will feed himself for a lifetime. So the message of part 2 is all about the importance of having your own relationship with God. We all hear it time and time again to pray, pray without ceasing, talk to God. But if that's all we do, then what are we doing?

Teach a Man to Fish - Part 1

17th May, 2020

If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, if you teach a man to fish then he will feed himself for a lifetime. I wrote a post on this for the Instagram page a little while ago now and as I had postedit I felt that it was such a good message that I would expand on it here on the website. As I was thinking about what I was going to say and starting to write my initial piece I realised that the point is multifaceted when looked at from a Christian stand point, so I will be doing 3 posts on this, with the first one being feeding.

Feed the Poor Appeal

17th May, 2020

There are so many people that have been impacted globally by the Coronavirus pandemic, more so by the lockdown measures put in place to slow or stop the spread of disease. Whilst this is a good thing, the side effects are that many people are restricted in their ability to get food. I have seen a small part of this myself, but what I personally face isn't anything compared to some in my country and around the world.

Hope in the Darkness

11th April, 2020

What a strange time we currently live, a time that will feature in the history books as one of the biggest events of the 21st century. The global pandemic of Covid-9 aka Coronavirus has hit and swept through the world unlike anything we as a people have witnessed before. The last outbreak of a deadly disease was the Spanish Flu in the early 20th century. Since that time we have had several struggles as a human race, but that has mainly been against each other. This time however is a time where the human race is up against a disease that does not discriminate and will attack anyone it comes into contact with.
